Bright colours have always fascinated me and making a colourful dish is always a fun. The sandwich recipe which i am sharing is quite simple and i am sure one must have seen and tasted as well. As far as i remember i have tasted this one when i was a kid during some party and fell in love with it coz of the perfect colour combination. This sandwich can also be used as theme during our independence day as it has all the tri colours used in our national flag. It can be served during breakfast or a snack or one can pack this one for their kids tiffin. The best part of this sandwich is that it does not require any cooking and is very healthy loaded with fresh vegetables.
so lets look at the ingredients used in making this sandwich:
Tri colour sandwich

  1. Bread slices
  2. Tomatoes
  3. Cucumber
  4. Tomato ketchup
  5. Green chutney
  6. Butter
  7. Black pepper

To make one sandwich three bread slices are required so tri layer of bread is made stalking with other ingredients in between. Below one can see the ingredient used.

Firstly take a bread slice and spread green chutney evenly on one side as shown below. I have already posted the recipe of green chutney in my earlier blog, so can refer it.

After that place cucumber slices over it covering the whole slice of bread as shown.

Then place another layer of bread over it and spread butter evenly, also sprinkle black pepper over it. Using  butter is optional but it taste great if used. so it's ones choice to use it or to skip it altogether.

Place tomato slices on the butter coated side covering the entire bread slice. Also spread tomato ketchup on the third slice of bread and cover it.

With this our sandwich is ready. Enjoy this healthy sandwich with fresh juice or a cup of tea.
