Mini cakes with strawberries

This is another recipe for valentine series. Its a very simple recipe which require no cooking. Just working out with ready made stuff and the surprise is ready. The main idea is to present things beautifully without much hassle. They look very cute and are just bite size. So one does not even have to worry about the calories while eating it. For my friends who are working through out the day and have no time to prepare anything special can just grab these few items from grocery and assemble these mini cakes to surprise your loved ones.

Mini-cakes-with-strawberries

Ingredients required are only four in number:-

1. Strawberries
2. Chocolate cake bars
3. Creamy icing
4. Chocolate sauce

For making them first cut the cake slice into four equal squares and also wash the strawberries and cut them longitudinally making about four pieces from each.

Then take one cake square and apply little icing over it and sandwich it with another cake square piece. In this way make as many pieces as required.

After that drop little chocolate sauce over the cake layer as shown in the picture below.

Finally put the strawberry over the cake. The chocolate sauce acts as a glue and the strawberry will be intact while serving. Lastly drizzle some chocolate sauce over the strawberries if required. Enjoy these mini cakes with strawberries, with a mug of hot coffee!

Chocolate coated strawberries

Valentine is around the corner So i wanted to come up with simple and crisp ideas which anyone can work out with. Its a season of strawberries also and they really look seductive for the occasion. Though i couldn't take the step by step pics this time as i was also doing it for the first time and my hands were drenched in chocolate, so could not handle camera at that point of time. Well for making this you need only two things and i m sure i have not shared such a simple recipe before. The idea is only to work with simple and handy things around without much fuss.

Ingredients needed are:-

1. Strawberries
2. Chocolate

 For making this i have used dark chocolate as well as white chocolate to coat the strawberries. But you can choose anyone of your choice.
First of all chocolate is melted using a double boiler or you can use microwave oven for this purpose. I used my microwave with power at 50 and time interval of 15 seconds. After every 15 seconds take the bowl out and give your chocolate a stir so that it melts evenly.

When the chocolate is melted evenly, then dip your strawberries in the melted chocolate and holding the stalk rotate it so that it gets coated evenly. Hold the stalk and remove the strawberry out and make sure extra chocolate is drizzled back in the bowl. In this way you can make a healthy gilt free surprise for your loved ones.
